Spoon Master

This move requires patience and precision.
Side profile.
That's black bean smeared on her face.

I get weekly updates on developmental milestones to look for & encourage from a website called It's a pretty useful website. This week it said to encourage the Bop to use utensils. So I did. This morning she handily flung yogurt all over the wall. Tonight she used her spoon as a bean launching device. When the beans ran out, the spoon was converted into a projectile. Claudia also showed me how good she is a gnawing on the spoon, hands free even! Simply put, I think she's got the utensil thing down pat!

  1. Love, love, love the new blog background. Where did you get it or did you design your own? You are brave to try the utensils! Jackson uses them at school but I don't give them to him at home very often. He flings food everywhere so unless I have time to sweep, mop, and wipe down everything within a 20 foot radius - hands it is! On the cooking network, they say your hands are your greatest utensils! Amen! :)

  2. She is definitely more proficient with her hands! She's getting the hang of the spoon, but she really likes to fling the food and see what she can get away with. =)

Marina at Penny Lane did the background. It started as a prefab, but she did some personalizations. She has a bunch of prefabs that are all really cute.

  3. Her face looks like Garrett's when done w/ his meal!
